Amazing eggnog -- with your espresso machine!


In this video, we're making eggnog with a Decent Espresso machine. You can find the machines here.


. The steam wand on your espresso machine, along with a milk thermometer, is all you need to easily make amazing eggnog.



TLDR RECIPE:

1. In a blender, put:
  • 1 large egg
  • 150ml whole milk
  • 80ml salted caramel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yh0qmzRCKUE
  • 2. Steam to 80ºC
    3. Serve 50ml
    4. Boozy variation: +5ml spiced rum
    5. Espresso variation: +25ml espresso
    6. Boozy Espresso variation: 8ml Amaretto

    Espresso Machine Eggnog:

    In a blender, put:

  • 1 large egg
  • 150ml whole milk
  • 80ml salted caramel
  • (optional) powdered cinammon

  • steam heat the mix to 80ºC

  • (optional: briefly blend after heating)

  • serve into a small cup

  • I serve about 50ml
  • (optional) powder ground cinammon on top of the cup

  • Boozy variation:

  • add 10% of spiced rum (vanilla, oak flavors)
  • in a 50ml of eggnog mix, add 5ml of spiced rum


  • Espresso Eggnog:

  • 25ml of espresso (medium or medium dark bean, pulled with "Espresso in the 80s" profile)
  • 50ml of eggnog ("no alcohol" version)


  • Boozy Espresso Eggnog:

  • 25ml of espresso
  • 50ml of eggnog ("no alcohol" version)
  • 8ml of Disaronno (or other Amaretto liquor)
